Pediatric Rehabilitation

Kidsworks, Northeast Georgia Medical Center’s out-patient pediatric rehabilitation program offers out-patient physical, occupational, and speech therapy services for children ages birth to 18. We use an interdisciplinary approach to help children regain or achieve their highest level of function.

Our treatment plans are individualized to meet the specific needs of each child and incorporate creative treatment along with parent/caregiver education and home program recommendations.

Our services include:

A physician’s referral is required for Kidsworks, and commonly referred diagnoses to Kidsworks include:

  • Pervasive developmental delay and autism spectrum disorders
  • Cerebral palsy
  • Down’s syndrome
  • Developmental delay
  • Torticollis and plagiocephaly
  • Sensory integration dysfunction
  • Traumatic brain injuries
  • Spinal cord injury
  • Spina bifida
  • Orthopedic and surgical rehabilitation
  • Motor apraxia and ataxia
  • Stuttering
  • Speech language delay (“late talkers”)
  • Feeding/swallowing disorders
  • Articulation/phonological disorders
  • Language disorders
  • Auditory processing disorder
  • Voice disorders
  • Phonological awareness deficits
