Visitation Guidelines

Northeast Georgia Health System continues to adapt to best practices regarding COVID-19. For the protection of our patients, staff and community, our visitation guidelines have been updated. These guidelines apply to all patients, regardless of diagnosis. We understand that it is difficult to be away from family especially during times of illness or injury and we appreciate your support.

The following Visitation Guidelines are for NON-COVID patients only.

One visitor (18 and older) per patient between 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. - 10 p.m.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Two designated band holders may visit their neonate as guidelines state

Emergency Department

Visitation is limited to one visitor per room. Visitors should be 12 years old, or older. Like the ICU, certain exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis.

ICU Visitation

Visitation has been restricted, and no visitors are allowed. Exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis.

Inpatient Rooms

Visitation is limited to one visitor per room. Visitors should be 12 years old, or older. Like the ICU, certain exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis.

Labor and Delivery Visitation

Visitation is limited to one visitor per room. Visitors should be 12 years old, or older. Like the ICU, certain exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis.

Laurelwood

Visitation is limited to two visitors per patient.

New Horizons Lanier Park and New Horizons Limestone

Visitation has been restricted, and no visitors are allowed. Exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis.

NICU Visitation

Visitation is limited to only the patient’s mother and the other band holder.

We also encourage everyone to do their part to prevent the spread of illness by practicing good hand hygiene, cough etiquette and by disinfecting surfaces.
