NGHS is home to an accredited Sleep Disorders Center, recognized by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine for meeting the highest standards in sleep care. Our center features comfortable, hotel-like overnight suites and the latest sleep testing equipment to monitor your sleep patterns in real time.

What to expect

If you suspect a sleep disorder, your provider may recommend a sleep study either at-home or in our Sleep Disorders Center. Once diagnosed, your physician will work with you to create a personalized treatment plan that may include:

  • CPAP therapy & equipment education
  • Behavioral sleep therapy
  • Medication management
  • Lifestyle modifications
  • Follow-up sleep studies when needed

Daniel Cobb, MD, FAASM

Medical Director & Sleep Specialist

Daniel L. Cobb, MD, is board certified in both Neurology and Sleep Medicine by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.  Dr. Cobb has served as the Medical Director for the Sleep Disorders Center of Northeast Georgia Medical Center since 2010.  As the Medical Director, he supervises the sleep centers, ensures the quality of sleep studies, and performs patient evaluations within the center’s sleep clinics in Gainesville and Braselton, Georgia.   Dr. Cobb moved to Gainesville Georgia in 2008 after completing a residency program in Neurology, and obtaining his medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  In 2016, Dr. Cobb founded The Neurological Center of North Georgia, LLC, located in Gainesville, GA, combining his experience in Adult Neurology and Sleep Medicine. ​
