The Laurel Award recognizes any non-clinical employee who made a meaningful impact on your experience during your recent encounter with Northeast Georgia Health System.

What is the Laurel Award?
The Laurel Award recognizes our non-clinical employees who go above and beyond in their daily work to support our patients, families, and coworkers, oftentimes, behind the scenes.
Just as the laurel leaf symbolizes honor, strength, and achievement, this award celebrates individuals who demonstrate exceptional service, teamwork, and dedication not only to our clinical co-workers but also to the mission, values, and core competencies of NGHS.
What is a non-clinical team member in a healthcare system?
Non-clinical team members are employees who support your care in important ways but are not directly providing medical treatment. While doctors and nurses focus on your clinical care, these individuals work behind the scenes and in everyday interactions to make your experience safe, comfortable, and positive.
You may recognize non-clinical team members as those who:
- Welcome and register you when you arrive
- Help schedule appointments or answer questions
- Deliver meals or keep your room safe
- Assist with phone calls, billing, or other services
They play a vital role in your overall experience and help ensure everything runs smoothly during your time with us.
How do I nominate someone for the Laurel Award?
Use the online nomination form found here and tell us how this staff member stood out during your stay and what makes them deserving of the award.
