BEE Award

Being Excellent Everyday

What is the BEE Award?

Frontline nursing staff in collaboration with nursing leadership and Rewards and Recognition desired an opportunity to recognize support roles that are vital to nursing practice. These staff interact with and underpin the work of nurses, just as a bee interacts with and contributes to the success of flowers. DAISY is the international organization that recognizes extraordinary nurses, so the BEE Award name seemed fitting.

Who is eligible for the BEE Award?

Any staff member in good standing in a nursing support role which includes unit secretaries, unit assistants, patient care technicians, patient care assistants, ultrasound technicians, vascular technicians, radiology technicians, lab technicians, medical observers, telemetry technicians, paramedics, endoscopy technicians, EMTs, surgical technicians, mental health technicians, physical therapy assistants, and physical therapists.
