When your newborn needs extra support, our team is here with advanced care and compassion. NGMC Gainesville is home to a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and NGMC Braselton is a Level II NICU – where specialists care for premature babies and those with complex medical needs. From respiratory support to specialized feeding and monitoring, our team is dedicated to giving even the tiniest patients the best possible start.
For pregnancies that require closer monitoring, our perinatologists (maternal-fetal medicine experts) provide advanced testing, high-risk pregnancy management and personalized care plans – working closely with your OB/GYN, to support both you and your baby throughout your pregnancy.
Emotional health is just as important as physical health. Our specialists provide screening, counseling, and support for perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. Whether you’re experiencing stress during pregnancy or postpartum depression, you don’t have to face it alone.
Our lactation consultants provide guidance and one-on-one support to help you with breastfeeding, pumping and newborn feeding. Whether you’re still in the hospital or need outpatient follow-up, our Lactation Centers are here to make your feeding journey easier.
We understand that not every pregnancy ends the way families hope. That’s why NGMC provides compassionate support, bereavement resources and counseling services for families experiencing loss — walking with you through every step of this difficult journey.
