Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Northeast Georgia Health System. As we continue to fight COVID-19, volunteer recruitment continues for those under 65 years of age, and with no known underlying health condition to volunteer as front entrance screeners, in The Window Shops and with additional special projects outside of the clinical areas.
All persons interested in volunteering are required to complete a virtual interview, and will be required to complete a volunteer application and background check. Volunteers accepted into the program will also be required to schedule an appointment with NGHS Occupational Health and provide documentation of current MMR, varicella and flu vaccinations and a 2 step TB skin test and complete the NGHS Volunteer Orientation requirements prior to volunteering.
Based on CDC guidelines people of any age who have a serious underlying medical condition and/or have a compromised immune system would be in the high risk category. Those individuals who fall within high-risk categories, including people over the age of 65 or people with pre-existing health conditions such as lung disease, asthma, heart disease or diabetes would not be eligible to volunteer at this time.
Again, your interest in giving of your valuable time and service to benefit the quality of care provided by the Health System is valued and appreciated.
