What is CARF Accreditation?

The Inpatient Rehabilitation program of The Rehabilitation Institute of Northeast Georgia Medical Center is accredited by The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, better known as CARF.  In fact, we’ve been CARF-accredited for more than two decades!

CARF has surveyed hundreds of thousands of programs throughout North and South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia since it was founded as an independent, nonprofit accreditor in 1966.  Receiving CARF accreditation means our Inpatient Rehabilitation program:

  • Is guided by internationally recognized service standards and best practices
  • Participates in ongoing consultation and in-depth on-site reviews
  • Provides the highest quality of care for our customers
  • Is committed to reducing risk, addressing safety concerns, and respecting cultural and individual rights of our patients.
