NGMC Barrow Enhances Diagnostic Imaging with New, Advanced CT Scanner

NGMC Barrow staff celebrate the installment of their new CT scanner with a ribbon cutting with the Barrow County Chamber of Commerce.

People in Barrow County and surrounding communities now have access to more advanced medical imaging closer to home, as Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) Barrow recently installed a new CT scanner.

The state-of-the-art scanner features a wider opening and advanced artificial intelligence technology that helps reduce scan times while maintaining exceptional image quality. The result is a faster, more efficient and more comfortable experience for patients – plus detailed diagnostic images that help physicians more accurately diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions.

“This is the latest in a series of re-investments we’ve made in our technology and services to save people the drive to Athens, Gwinnett or beyond,” said John Neidenbach, administrator for NGMC Barrow. “We are continually working toward our mission of improving the health of our community in all we do.”
