Volunteer Chaplains

Because of COVID-19 restrictions, volunteers are not allowed in the hospital at this time.  Volunteer chaplains will be allowed to serve once restrictions are lifted.

The Volunteer Chaplain Program involves members of the Clergy Fellowship who desire to share their ministry gifts with patients and residents. Each Volunteer Chaplain serves in the following ways:

  • Volunteer Chaplains at the Medical Center Campus may serve daily at a time of their choosing or serve a scheduled one day a month excluding Saturday and Sunday. Volunteer Chaplains come in for about 2 hours to make rounds during the day they serve.
  • Volunteer Chaplain at our long-term care facilities, New Horizons Limestone and Lanier Park, serve two to three hours per month with no on-call.

If you are interested in serving as a Volunteer Chaplain, please contact the Spiritual Care Office at 770-219-5077.
