“As a cardiologist who has practiced electrophysiology in Georgia for more than 20 years, I’m familiar with the stellar reputation The Heart Center of NGMC has earned in Northeast Georgia and throughout the state,” said Dr. Prater. “I look forward to being a member of this elite group of physicians who provide the heart care that has been recognized as number one in Georgia.”

Dr. Prater received his medical degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in Mobile, Ala. He completed an internship and residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, where is also finished two fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease and Cardiac Electrophysiology and Pacing.
