BLAIRSVILLE, Ga. — Dr. Stephen P. Prater, cardiologist at The Heart Center of Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC), is now accepting patients at The Heart Center of NGMC’s Blairsville office located at 345 Deep South Farm Road, Suite B. He will also continue to see patients at The Heart Center of NGMC in Braselton.
“As a cardiologist at The Heart Center of NGMC, I am pleased to now join the medical team serving Blairsville and the surrounding community,” said Dr. Prater. “I look forward to continuing to provide patients in Northeast Georgia the award-winning heart care they’ve come to know and trust,” said Dr. Prater.
Dr. Prater received his medical degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in Mobile, Ala. He completed an internship and residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, where he also finished two fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease and Cardiac Electrophysiology and Pacing. Dr. Prater has received several awards in both Illinois and Georgia, including being named to Atlanta Magazine’s 2016 Top Doctors list. He is board-certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
