Northeast Georgia Health System Named One Of Metro Atlanta’s Top 100 Workplaces For Fourth Year In A Row

GAINESVILLE, Ga. – Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) is one of "Metro Atlanta's Top 100 Workplaces" for a fourth consecutive year according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution (AJC).  NGHS is also one of only 25 large companies (more than 500 employees) to make the list.

The recognition is based on direct feedback from NGHS employees collected through a survey conducted by the AJC and its partner, Workplace Dynamics.  Some direct quotes from NGHS employees' surveys include:

  • "Everyone seems to truly care about each other and the patients.  It's a great atmosphere to work in!"
  • "It is flexible, I have awesome coworkers who care about me and are kind and respectful."
  • "I have the opportunity to learn and grow and I work with an amazing group of very talented people."
  • "Great pay and benefits!"

"These comments speak volumes about our employees' dedication to our organization's mission of improving the health of the community in all we do and their commitment to living the Health System's core values," says Carol Burrell, President and CEO of NGHS.  "Having the best team in the nation is the only way you make this list four years in a row, in addition to being named Georgia's #1 Hospital for 2014 and one the nation's 100 Top Hospitals."

More than 1,200 companies were nominated or asked to participate in the 2014 contest conducted by the AJC and its partner, Workplace Dynamics.  Workplace Dynamics then surveyed more than 50,000 employees from finalist companies.  Each company was graded using employees' responses to several questions about factors such as work conditions, management, pay, benefits and career paths.
