Northeast Georgia Health System’s (NGHS) HP2, a clinically integrated network, has been recognized by Anthem as part of its 2025 Care Provider Recognition Program, placing the organization among the top 1% of providers in the nation – and one of only 44 to earn this distinction.
Anthem’s Care Provider Recognition Program highlights care providers who deliver coordinated, personalized care that improves health outcomes, enhances the patient experience and helps lower the cost of care. Selection is based on a rigorous analysis of performance data including preventive care screenings, immunization rates, medication adherence and chronic disease management along with additional quality measures.
“This recognition reinforces our commitment to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care across our communities,” said Steve McNeilly, vice president of Managed Care for NGHS.
“We’re proud to partner with primary care providers as they deliver coordinated, personalized care that improves health outcomes and helps lower costs for our members and the broader health system,” said Amanda Free, president of Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Georgia. “Northeast Georgia Health System is being recognized because they’ve exemplified the impact of a whole health approach to patient care in Georgia, and we’re honored to recognize their efforts.”
Health Partners is a preferred provider organization (PPO) – comprised of more than 900 physicians, 10 hospitals and 150 ancillary providers covering a 16+ county service area throughout northeast Georgia – that serves thousands of customers and local business across the region.
“Our physicians, advanced practice professionals and care teams are dedicated to improving outcomes, expanding access to preventive care and ensuring every patient receives the high-quality care they deserve,” said Antonio Rios, MD, president of Northeast Georgia Physicians Group and chief of Population Health for NGHS. “We are proud to be recognized for the impact of that work.”
