Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) is one of the region’s largest employers, and now it’s being recognized among the greatest employers in the nation as well. Newsweek recently named NGHS to several of its America’s Greatest Workplaces lists for 2025.
In addition to being named one of America’s Greatest Workplaces overall, NGHS earned specific recognition in multiple categories:
- America’s Greatest Workplaces in Georgia
- America’s Greatest Workplaces in Healthcare
- America’s Greatest Workplaces for Women
- America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity
“These awards are a direct reflection of the incredible employees who bring their best every day to improve people’s lives and the health of the communities we serve,” said Matt Hanley, MD, president and CEO of NGHS.
“We know that providing exceptional care starts with creating an environment where every employee feels valued, supported and empowered to thrive – and it’s an honor to see that commitment recognized on a national scale.”
Newsweek partnered with research firm Plant-A Insights to compile its rankings, assessing publicly available data, conducting interviews with human resources professionals and gathering confidential online surveys from more than 400,000 U.S. employees. The study measured company culture, working conditions and workplace practices, incorporating over 4.9 million reviews.
NGHS employs more than 11,000 people across five hospitals and dozens of outpatient locations throughout northeast Georgia. To view current career opportunities with NGHS, visit nghs.com/careers.
