Foundation Announces 2021 Change Grant Recipients

Published: Monday, August 30, 2021

The Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) Foundation is excited to announce our newest Change Grant recipients! Launched in 2019, Change Grants are a way for employees to submit ideas to improve the patient, visitor and employee experience for funding. Fully funded through employee donations to WATCH, NGHS’ employee giving club, Change Grants empower our team members to bring their best ideas to life.

Past projects funded through the Change Grants program include the Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) Barrow library, Donate Life flag poles, virtual cancer patient education access, employee assistance, public mobile device charging stations and others.

Our most recent Change Grant recipients, Hayley Woodard and Tina Johnson, both submitted ideas that will provide spaces for employee relaxation. Hayley’s project will purchase and install two massage recliners for employees to enjoy a moment of rest during hectic and stressful workdays. Tina’s project will help create a new outdoor garden area at NGMC Barrow to offer a quiet respite area for staff, visitors and patients.
