To continue providing exceptional cardiovascular care, The Heart Center of Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) welcomes a new non-invasive cardiologist to their team of experts. Anu Vellanki, MD, FACC, will begin seeing patients at The Heart Center of NGMC locations in Cumming, Dahlonega and Dawsonville. Dr. Vellanki brings ample expertise in cardiac imaging and diagnostics, as well as women’s heart health. She specializes in providing clinical cardiology services, cardiovascular wellness screenings, disease prevention and a variety of imaging modalities, such as echocardiography.
“Joining The Heart Center of NGMC has been an honor,” said Dr. Vellanki, “interacting one-on-one with patients and providing personalized care at a high-level is what I am most passionate about. With the resources, technology and highly-trained team at The Heart Center of NGMC, I am excited to make a positive impact on the heart health needs of patients throughout the region.”
Dr. Vellanki received her medical degree from Kamineni Institute of Medical Sciences in Narketpally, India. She went on to complete her internal medicine residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, Massachusetts, before completing her cardiology fellowship at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Most recently, Dr. Vellanki served as an attending cardiologist at Hartford Health Care in Glastonbury, Connecticut.
Dr. Vellanki is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease.
