NGMC Lumpkin to open on July 16.
Residents in Lumpkin County and surrounding areas are invited to celebrate the opening of Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) Lumpkin on Saturday, July 13, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Attendees will enjoy tours of the hospital, a variety of delicious foods, touch-a-truck zone, face painting, games and live music featuring Curtis Jones & Primal Roots. Public parking for the event is available at University of North Georgia’s Convocation Center at 180 Alumni Drive in Dahlonega. Shuttles will provide transportation to and from the event. Disabled parking will be available at the hospital, which is located at 227 Mountain Drive.
Northeast Georgia Medical Center Lumpkin will start seeing patients on Tuesday, July 16, at 7 a.m. The NGMC Lumpkin campus will include an emergency department, inpatient care and supporting imaging, pharmacy, lab and other services.
