Neuro Rehab Symposium
The goal of the one-day NGHS Neuro Rehab Symposium is to provide the most current information for therapists who care for patients and families in all phases of stroke rehabilitation.
Topics will cover stroke specific impairment priorities in each phase of rehabilitation. The course will feature neuro interventions, therapy implications after use of clot busting drugs, early intervention assessment and tools, early intervention for vision deficits, the use of functional activities in the medical inpatient unit rehab setting, aphasia and caregiver training, long term dysphagia management, intensity in outpatient rehab, and returning to driving following a stroke. This information is important to improve outcomes and success for all clinicians in attendance.
The targeted audience is speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, physical therapists, physical therapy assistants, and professional therapy students.
