We invite you to apply to volunteer with Northeast Georgia Health System in a meaningful way. Visit our frequently asked questions for more information.

Please note, the application and onboarding process may take up to 90 days to complete. Each step must be completed in order. After you finish a step, you’ll receive an email with instructions for the next one. Allow up to a week for that email to arrive with the next steps. 

The Application Process

  1. Complete and submit the volunteer application relevant to you.
  2. Complete onboarding modules and attestation.
  3. Complete background check.
    • IMPORTANT: Please note that you will be required to pay $26.95 directly through the MBI Worldwide Background Check for a background check before proceeding with the application process.
  4. Attend an in-person interview.
    • During the in-person interview, you will have the opportunity to discuss interests, skills, and potential placement opportunities. Placement opportunities change and volunteers are not guaranteed placement in any given service area.  
  5. Schedule and complete required health screening through NGHS.
  6. Complete new volunteer onboarding.
  7. Receive training.
  8. Begin volunteering.
