Balance disorders and dizziness are some of the most common causes of falls. NGMC Physical Therapy offers Balance and Vestibular Rehabilitation to help people with dizziness and balance issues, improve mobility, and regain confidence.

Otago Falls Prevention Program

Falls are the leading cause of injury, death and trauma-related hospital admissions among people 65 and older, and at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, we want to help. NGMC Physical Therapy will lead you through the Otago Falls Prevention Program, an individually tailored balance and strength program, led by Otago-certified therapists. 

Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy

Pelvic Floor Therapy is a treatment for problems related to the pelvic floor, a group of muscles that support the urinary and reproductive tracts. Our pelvic floor physical therapists specialize in the muscles, tissues and nerves and conditions which affect the pelvic floor. Your therapist will first ask you some questions about your history and you will have the opportunity to share your concerns.

Spine Rehabilitation (GET BACK)

NGMC Physical Therapy offers GET BACK, the region’s premier spine rehabilitation program. GET BACK therapists have 80 years of combined clinical experience treating a variety of spinal conditions. The staff includes one of the region’s only therapists certified in The McKenzie Method®, a revolutionary new way of treating back and neck pain.

GET BACK focuses on both acute and chronic low back pain while also addressing conditions ranging from degenerative spine diseases to post-operative spinal surgery issues to sacroiliac dysfunction.

Trigger Point Dry Needling

Trigger Point Dry Needling (TDN) is a treatment performed by our competent and licensed physical therapists, which uses thin needles to insert into a tight and tender trigger point within a patient’s muscle(s) that are associated with pain, decreased flexibility, or decreased muscle function.
