Teen Volunteers
Each year the Medical Center accepts 100 teen volunteers for its teen volunteer summer program. The teen volunteer program offers high school students a great opportunity to explore careers in healthcare. It also provides them the opportunity to learn the importance of giving back to their community. Teen volunteers assist with a variety of non-medical duties throughout the hospital and must be able to commit to volunteering a minimum of 30 hours during the summer.
Teens must be 15-years-old to apply for the program. Interested teens should call the Volunteer Services office at the beginning of January to request information for the following summer. Teen placements are limited, and the program is typically filled by the first of March.
