Student Volunteers

Teen Volunteers

The teen volunteer program offers high school students a great opportunity to explore careers in healthcare, and it also provides them the opportunity to learn the importance of giving back to their community. Teen volunteers assist with a variety of non-medical duties throughout the hospital and must be able to commit to volunteering a minimum of 30 hours during the summer.

Teens must be 15-years-old to apply for the program. Interested teens should check this website February 1 for more information for the 2017 summer. Teen placements are limited, and the program is typically filled by the first of March.

College Volunteers

College volunteers must complete an interview and volunteer application and attend new volunteer orientation before beginning their volunteer service. College student orientation is scheduled once a semester, but interviews are conducted year-round. To ensure adequate time to complete all requirements, interested students are advised to contact the Volunteer Services office by mid-term of the semester before they wish to begin volunteering.
