Your iPhone/iPad is a powerful tool to help you connect with your doctor. Here are the steps you’ll need to take to set up your device for your video visit.
1. | Download the Zoom application from the App Store. You will not need to set up a Zoom account.![]() |

2. | Download the MyChart Mobile application from the App Store.![]() |
3. | Before your visit you will need to configure your Zoom app settings to allow access to the camera and microphone on your iPhone. In Safari, go to https://zoom.us/test and click Join Meeting.![]() |
4. | Select “Open” when asked if you would like to open the page in Zoom.![]() |
5. | Enter your name and select “Continue”. |
6. | Select “Join with Video”.![]() |
7. | Select “OK” to enable Zoom access to the camera.![]() |
8. | Select “OK” to enable Zoom access to the microphone. |
9. | Select “Don’t Allow” to keep Zoom from sending you notifications. |
10. | Select “Call using Internet Audio”.![]() |
11. | This concludes the Zoom test. Select “End” or “Leave” to exit the meeting. |
12. | Open the MyChart app and log in. You should have a MyChart account already. If you do not, click here to learn more about signing-up for a free account. |
13. | Once you are logged into MyChart, click on the “Appointments” tile.![]() |
14. | Select “eCheck-In” and follow the prompts to complete the check-in process.![]() |
15. | You should fully complete eCheck-in to be able to join your telemedicine visit, including paying the copay. |
16. | After you have completed e-Check-In you may close the MyChart app until the day of your video visit. |
You may connect up to 15 minutes before your schedule appointment. Connecting more than 40 minutes past the schedule time will result in a canceled appointment that you will need to reschedule.
1. | Before joining the call, remove dressings and bandages, sit in a well-lit area, and make sure you have a strong WiFi or cellular data signal. |

3. | If you have completed eCheck-In and are within 15 minutes of your appointment time you will see a green camera in your appointment tile. Click on this tile to access the link to your visit.![]() |
4. | Click “Begin Visit” at the bottom of the screen. The visit will automatically open in Zoom. ![]() |
5. | Once connected and waiting for your provider to join the visit you will see this screen. Your provider is the host and will start the meeting when they join the visit. Do not attempt to sign in while you wait for the visit to begin. |
6. | When your provider has connected to the visit your screen will begin Video Preview. Select “Call using Internet Audio” to connect your microphone. Select “Join with Video” to enable your camera. |
7. | Tap your screen to check that your speaker is on, your microphone is unmuted and the video has started: |
8. | Your provider will end the meeting when the visit is over. |

10. | Make sure to enable your device speaker so you can hear your provider during the visit. |
11. | Your provider will end the meeting when the visit is over. |
Use the instructions below to start a video visit on a desktop (PC & Mac).

7. | Wait for the provider to join the video. If you have joined a few minutes early, please test your computer audio.![]() ![]() |
