Intragastric Balloon Procedure

Call for more information: 770-219-0446

An intragastric balloon procedure is a non-surgical weight loss procedure that can provide more than twice the weight loss of diet and exercise alone. It provides an additional tool beyond diet and exercise to help people lose weight.

How does it work?

The intragastric balloon procedure is a reversible treatment option that uses a balloon inserted into the stomach to help patients achieve lasting weight loss results. It is an outpatient procedure. The balloon remains in the stomach for six months, serving as built-in portion control so people may feel full and less hungry.

During this time and for six months after the gastric balloon is removed, patients receive in-office diet and coaching sessions and assistance with tracking progress.

Who's a candidate?

The balloon procedure is for adults with a BMI of 30 to 40, who have a related health condition and who may not be candidates for bariatric surgery.
