Imagine getting a doctor to diagnose your flu-like symptoms, provide you with a treatment plan and call in your prescription – without you ever leaving your house.  That’s exactly what Northeast Georgia Physicians Group (NGPG) is providing through its first online healthcare service – Flu E-Visits.

E-Visits allow patients who suspect they have the flu to connect with a provider through an online portal, called MyChart.  If you already have a MyChart account, all you have to do is login to the website or mobile app and click on the E-visit icon.  If you do not have a MyChart account, just visit ngpg.org/evisit to get started.  Once you answer a few simple questions, a provider will review your health history and current symptoms – then respond with a treatment plan in less than 24 hours.

“We are very excited to offer this digital treatment option to everyone in the area,” said Daniel Tuffy, president of NGPG.  “This convenient service eliminates the need to get out of bed and visit an urgent care or doctor’s office, which helps you save your energy and prevents the spread of a contagious illness.  It’s a win-win for everyone.”

E-Visits are fast, affordable, secure and available seven days a week for everyone 18 and older.  You do not have to be an NGPG patient to take advantage of this service.  E-Visits are billed to insurance. Patients will be responsible for any out-of-pocket costs based on the plan’s coverage. If an E-Visit is not covered by your insurance, you will be billed the self-pay cost of $40.00.
