NGHS Employees Making Change – Through New Foundation Grant Program

Published: Friday, July 12, 2019

NGHS employees are a very generous group that not only give through the work they do every day but also through payroll deduction donations to the Foundation. Last year, the Foundation had the vision of further engaging the NGHS family by creating a vehicle for them to identify areas where their donations can be used to improve our Health System. That is how our new system-wide program, Change Grants, came into being.

The Foundation is pleased to announce that out of many grant submissions, the inaugural projects have been selected. Employees (from left to right) Ryan Henry, Hayley Woodard, Matt Droms, Mena Pineda, Christopher Brechtel and Kathleen Sessions (not pictured) have all submitted wonderful ideas that will soon be brought to life through WATCH, the employee giving club of NGHS. Their ideas range from an evidence-based program called Beads of Courage for NICU to children visiting and buying “wishes” for our long-term care patients.

Congratulations to these employees for coming up with meaningful project ideas that are designed to improve the patient, visitor or employee experience – more information about these projects and the lives they touch will become available as they are realized. Thank you to all of our WATCH employee donors who give selflessly to help make projects like this a reality.
