The Volunteer Chaplain Program involves members of the Clergy Fellowship who desire to share their ministry gifts with patients and residents. Each Volunteer Chaplain serves in the following ways:
- Volunteer Chaplains at the Medical Center Campus may serve daily at a time of their choosing or serve a scheduled one day a month excluding Saturday and Sunday. On-call time is from midnight to 6 a.m. the day you serve. After this, Volunteer Chaplains come in for about 2 hours to make rounds during the day they serve.
- Volunteer Chaplain at our long-term care facilities, New Horizons North and West, serve two to three hours per month with no on-call.
If you are interested in serving as a Volunteer Chaplain, please contact the Pastoral Care Office at (770) 219-5077.
