General Patient Care Units
In order to provide rest and promote healing for our patients in the hospital, we request that the general public observe the times between 8:30 p.m. until 10:00.a.m. as rest times on the general patient care areas. These guidelines are not intended to restrict the patient’s right to the presence of a designated support person, but rather provide information to the general public who may wish to visit a patient while in the hospital.
Specialty Care Units
Specialty care units may have specific guidelines for visitation in order to provide patient care, safety and protect patient privacy. These guidelines will be provided to the patient and support person at the time of admission to a specialty unit.
Children who visit patients in the hospital should be supervised by an adult. There may be times when children's visitation will be restricted for the safety of patients and children, such as during flu season; at these times, the restrictions will be posted at visitor entrances and on the website.
After Hours Access
For the safety and security of patients, visitors and staff, all entrances except the emergency room and the North Patient Tower entrance are locked at 9 p.m.
