DAWSONVILLE, Ga. – The Rehabilitation Institute of Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) is proud to welcome physical therapist Ken Whitlow, PT, to its Dawsonville location. Ken joins physical therapist Laura Witt, PT; speech language pathologist LaRae Brown, SLP/CCC; and the staff of The Rehabilitation Institute in Dawsonville.
The Rehabilitation Institute is located at 5959 Highway 53 E, Suite 200, in Dawsonville. Call 706-216-4012, Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., to schedule an appointment. You can learn more about the practice and its services at www.nghs.com/rehab.
Ken received his physical therapy degree from Medical College of Georgia and has more than 18 years of experience – including 14 years in Dawsonville, where he most recently owned and operated Cornerstone Physical Therapy on Lumpkin Campground Road. Ken is a native of Stone Mountain, Ga., and has special expertise in sports medicine, outpatient orthopedics and manual therapy.
“While I enjoyed serving the Dawsonville community in private practice, I’m excited about the opportunity to join The Rehabilitation Institute because of the enhanced service it will allow me to provide patients,” says Whitlow. “Being connected to NGMC will give my patients direct access to one of the best health systems in the nation.”
NGMC is one of America’s 50 Best Hospitals (Healthgrades®) and one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals (Truven Health Analytics®) – and it’s the only hospital in Georgia named to either list for 2013. NGMC is also part of Northeast Georgia Health System, which opened a new multi-specialty building in Dawsonville, Medical Plaza 400, earlier this year. Medical Plaza 1 is home to:
- Urgent Care
- All digital Imaging Center with in-house MRI, CT and certified radiologist
- HealthLink Laboratory
