Outpatient Rehab
Regain

Our goal is to maximize the independence and enhance the quality of life for our patients.

Our Program

ReGain is a comprehensive rehabilitation program offering therapy services for patients with neurological disorders and other acute medical conditions. Patients participate in therapies from one to three hour per day depending on their needs. Typical programs are three to five days per week and last six to eight weeks. We also help you arrange transportation to and from your therapy sessions.

Our Patients

ReGain patients have functional impairments in one or more of the following areas:

• Activities of daily living
• Mobility
• Communication
• Swallowing
• Cognitive skills

Diagnoses typically seen in outpatient rehabilitation include:

• Stroke
• Brain injury
• Spinal cord injuries
• Neuromuscular disorders
• Hip or knee replacements
• Amputations
• Acute changes related to chronic conditions
• Head and neck cancer
• Multiple trauma
• Swallowing and voice disorders

The ReGain Team

Our team is made up of:
• physiatrists
• physical therapists
• occupational therapists
• speech language pathologists
•· neuropsychologists
• case managers/social workers

The ReGain team is committed to helping our patients achieve the highest level of safety and independence possible when completing daily activities both at home and in the community. If needed, our patients also have access to the following:

• Registered dieticians
• Respiratory therapists
• Diagnostic imaging
• Diabetes educators
• Wound Healing Center
• Prosthetists and orthotists
• Support groups

Our Services

In addition to physical, occupational and speech therapy offered in the clinic, our patients may participate in:

• Formal driving evaluations
• Home safety evaluations
• Amputee clinic
• Seating clinic
• Return to work evaluations
• Family conferences
• School re-entry planning
• Community training
• Neuropsychological evaluations

Outcomes

Success is measured by the level of independence our patients achieve at the time of discharge and beyond. We call patients at home periodically to follow up on their progress.
