Outpatient Rehab
Balance & Vestibular Rehabilitation

Vestibular problems, or dizziness and the lack of balance, are common complaints across all age groups, especially in the elderly. In fact, 90 million Americans (about 42 percent of the population) will complain to their physicians about vertigo, or dizziness, at least once in their lifetimes. Fortunately, there is treatment for vestibular problems.

The Rehabilitation Institute offers a comprehensive vestibular rehabilitation program, an exercised-based approach combined with clinical treatments, for the resolution of dizziness and balance disorders. The program increases a person’s safety by helping to prevent falls and hip fractures.

Our vestibular rehabilitation program treats patients with:

· Positional vertigo

· Vestibular neuronitis

· Vestibular weakness/paresis

· Postural instability secondary to neurological diseases.

We use state-of-the-art electronic eye goggles that provide diagnostic feedback on real-time eye movement, which helps in evaluating a patient’s condition and developing a proper treatment plan.

Our program helps patients regain normal function and reduce or eliminate dizziness. No longer do patients with vestibular problems have to suffer through dizziness or postural instability.
