Pastoral Care
Clergy Orientation - Volunteer Chaplaincy

The backbone of the Medical Center’s pastoral care ministry is the Volunteer Chaplain program.  Volunteer Chaplains serve different times Monday through Friday (no weekends).  The Volunteer Program is divided into the following categories:

Medical Center Volunteer Chaplains

  • nServe one calendar day per-month.
  • Spends 2-3 hours making rounds.  On-call in the evening.

Lanier Park Volunteer Chaplains

  • nServe one Monday through Friday period per quarter.
  • Makes rounds 2-3 times a week.  On-call in the evening.
    • Long-term Care Volunteer Chaplain
  • nMakes rounds 2-3 times per month.
  • No on-call.
