About Our Services

Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) provides end of life care to terminally ill patients in their homes. Our goal is to enable patients to live each day to their fullest potential, according to their needs and wishes.

Our medical director, Dr. Frank Lake, III, and our hospice nurses are specialists in pain and symptom management. Our patients are assigned a primary nurse and social worker who work with patients to develop a visiting schedule. Nurses are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to make additional visits as needed. Our home health aids also are available to assist with hygienic needs such as bathing, hair care, changing linens and assisting with light housekeeping duties.

In addition, we have an experienced group of hospice social workers and clergy who assist patients and their loved ones with emotional, social, spiritual and financial needs. Our volunteers also provide social support via visits and are available to run household errands.
