Nurseline

Have a medical question? Wonder if you need to see a doctor of visit the Emergency Room? You can get answers to these questions and more by calling Northeast Georgia Medical Center’s Nurseline at 770-219-INFO (4636).

The Nurseline is a free telephone triage service in which registered nurses guide callers in making decisions about seeking care.  The Nurseline is staffed by a registered nurse 9 a.m. – 1 a.m. seven days a week.  Here's how it works:

1. When the nurse receives a call, she asks the caller a series of questions to gain specific information about the person’s inquiry.
2. The information is entered into a computer database of national physician-approved medical protocols.
3. Based on the answers entered, the nurse can provide advice, information and guidance for the caller.

The Nurseline is funded by the NGMC Auxiliary.
