Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) is pleased to announce Todd Sigmon as the new executive director of Oncology for the Cancer Center at NGMC.
Sigmon comes to NGMC having most recently served for six years as vice president of Operations for East Texas Medical Center (ETMC) in Tyler, Texas, where he was responsible for the oncology program and several other departments.
Prior to joining ETMC, Sigmon served as director of Cancer Services at Duke Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh, N.C., and director of Seacoast Cancer Center in Dover, N.H. He served on state panels for cancer care in both New Hampshire and North Carolina.
Sigmon has also served on the governance boards for the American Cancer Society, Hospice of East Texas and Susan G. Komen Foundation, as well as serving as an officer with the East Texas Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
A native of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., Sigmon received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina and his master’s degree from the Medical University of South Carolina.
Sigmon and his wife, Christine, live in North Hall with their two children, Joseph and Audrey.
