GAINESVILLE, Ga. – Camp Braveheart, a free day camp about healthy grieving for children, is accepting applications for campers and volunteers.

Camp Braveheart is carefully designed to help children and youth learn to cope with the complicated emotions that arise from the death of a loved one.  The camp provides a safe place for campers to share and explore their loss with the support of counselors, volunteers and other campers.  Using creative therapies and recreational activities, children will work together to process loss while keeping their loved one’s memory alive.  Children leave Camp Braveheart with a better understanding of grief, its impact and various positive coping skills.
