ACE Accreditations
NGMC is accredited for carotid artery stenting (CAS) and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) by Accreditation for Cardiovasular Excellence (ACE), making NGMC:
- the first hospital in Georgia to receive any ACE accreditation
- the first hospital in the nation to receive ACE accreditation for CAS

Accreditation signifies NGMC has been reviewed by an independent agency which recognizes the laboratory’s commitment to quality testing for the diagnosis of heart disease.
American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR)
Certification recognizes those programs rigorously reviewed by a national board and found to meet the outlined essential requirements for standards of care.
Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL)
Approval by ICAVL is given only to those facilities that have voluntarily committed to provide the best in diagnosis and treatment of vascular disease and to undergo a rigorous evaluation process and review of performance.

The Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) announced NGMC has achieved STS' best quality rating: three stars. According to STS, the three-star rating means NGMC's performance ranked significantly higher than the mean performance of other STS member hospitals in 2007.
