The Medical Center Auxiliary is sponsoring the 2012 Getting Older and Better Workshops with two opportunities to attend; the first on Tuesday, May 22, at the Hall County Library Spout Springs Branch in Flowery Branch and the second on Thursday, May 24, in the Chestatee Room at the Gainesville Civic Center.
The first event at Hall County Library Spout Springs Branch will run from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 22 and includes lunch. The second event at the Gainesville Civic Center will run from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 24 and includes breakfast and lunch. Both events will feature the same presentation entitled, “Health Tips for Seniors: Optimize Your Health.” The keynote speaker will be Amanda Cain, MD, an internal medicine physician with Northeast Georgia Physicians Group Gainesville. Dr. Cain has been practicing medicine in Gainesville since 1997. She received her medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the National Board of Medical Examiners. Dr. Cain is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Medical Association, Medical Association of Georgia and the Hall County Medical Society.
Registration is available on a first come, first served basis, costs $5, and the deadline to register is Friday, May 18. A complimentary gift is provided for each participant, and door prizes will also be given away.
