Northeast Georgia Medical Center is one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals® according to a study by Truven Health Analytics, formerly the healthcare business of Thomson Reuters. The study names top hospitals in five different categories – from Major Teaching Hospitals to Small Community Hospitals – and NGMC is one of only 20 “Large Community Hospitals” selected. NGMC is also the only hospital in Georgia to make the list in any category.
DNV Accreditation
Northeast Georgia Medical Center is fully accredited by DNV Healthcare, which is the first new federally approved accreditation option for hospitals in several decades. It is a complete redesign of accreditation standards that offers NGMC the opportunity to simultaneously satisfy its Medicare compliance requirements for reimbursement and implement the ISO 9001 Quality Management System. ISO 9001 is recognized by businesses around the world as the benchmark for continual quality improvement.
Metro Atlanta's Top 100 Workplaces
Northeast Georgia Health System is one of "Metro Atlanta’s Top 100 Workplaces" for the third consecutive year (2011 - 2013) according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. More than 1,200 companies were nominated for 2013, and more than 49,000 employees from the finalist companies were surveyed.
