Register For Pre-Diabetes Classes

GAINESVILLE, Ga. — Want to learn about pre-diabetes and how to lower your risk for diabetes?  The Diabetes Education Department at Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) is offering an educational lifestyle program that explains pre-diabetes and metabolic syndrome, as well as the risk factors, prevention, heart healthy meal planning, and weight loss and exercise strategies associated with pre-diabetes.

The classes are open to the community and cost $10 per participant.  You have several opportunities to attend:

• Cleveland:  May 25, 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at NGPG Cleveland (1331 Helen Hwy.)
• Gainesville (en Espanol):  June 10, 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. in the Blue Ridge Room at Lanier Park
• Gainesville:  June 24, 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. in the Blue Ridge Room at Lanier Park
