Healthy Families Gainesville

Healthy Families Gainesville is a continuum of voluntary, research-based services designed to reach out to all parents of newborns in Gainesville-Hall County delivering at Northeast Georgia Medical Center by offering support and information to families at the time of the birth of their baby.

Healthy Families Gainesville Service Components:

• First Steps for all parents of newborns including initial face-to-face contact and ongoing support and information for the first three months of a baby's life.

• Assessment offered to first-time Hall County parents of newborns to determine a family's level of need for additional services and community resources.

• Home Visitation offered to first-time Hall County parents whose assessments indicated a risk for negative outcomes for the child and family. Home visitation services are intensive and long-term and are provided for up to three years.
