Ebony Moses
Imaging Services
“Northeast Georgia Health System has experienced tremendous growth
since I first started working here (when I
was in high school) as part of a co-op program . I
attended Albany State and finished up my associate’s degree in
radiology at the Medical College of Central Georgia.
I worked there for a year before returning to NGMC.
"I have the privilege of working in an exciting and dynamic work
environment. I am
continually challenged to grow and to improve myself.
I also feel that my supervisors and colleagues care for me as an
individual. Working in
Imaging Services requires a high level of professionalism and attention
to detail, but there is also a lot of flexibility. I’ve worked in the
ER, in x-ray and after completing ultrasound school at Coosa Valley Tech
in 2000, I moved to ultrasound. My
opportunities are limitless. Each
day I have a chance to increase my knowledge and skills, to improve the
care I give patients and to better myself."

Heath Gurr, RPh
Pharmacy Services, Lanier Park Campus
"I began working at
Northeast Georgia Medical Center in October 1993 after starting
pharmacy school at the University of Georgia. I was familiar
with retail pharmacy and wanted to obtain some hospital pharmacy
experience. The experience I gained in the hospital setting was
very beneficial to my studies. I could see the topics covered in
class in an actual clinical setting.
When I graduated from pharmacy
school, I accepted a staff pharmacist position at the Medial
Center. I chose to stay because pharmacy administration was
committed to providing quality, innovative health care; and the
organization was committed to improving the health of the
community. Since then, the pharmacy has enhanced its cardiology
and oncology services, continued to expand its clinical services
and added a pharmacy robot and automated dispense cabinets.
Currently, I am involved with a team to implement new nursing
and pharmacy computer systems, which will include barcode
technology and enhanced documentation.

In April 2001, I accepted my
current position as pharmacy manager at the Lanier Park Campus.
I oversee pharmacy operations, staff development and training,
clinical services, and most importantly, assure that we maintain
the quality of care we provide to our patients. Being a part of innovations in
health care is one of the reasons I chose to work in a hospital
setting, and because of Northeast Georgia Medical Center's
vision and commitment to excellence, I am able to play a role in
these latest advances."

Ashley Trammell,
RN, BSN
The Ronnie Green Heart Center
Ashley Trammel has know she wanted to be a
nurse since she was in Kindergarten. She knew that she
wanted to be challenged, to help people and to have a job that
gave her the opportunity to continually improve herself.
She earned her nursing degrees from North Georgia College and
State University.
"Our health system is large enough to provide
state-of-the-art care," she says, "but it's not so
large that you are lost in a sea of caregivers. We enjoy a
small town atmosphere. Staff members know each other
and care about each other. I don't have to fight Atlanta
traffic to be a part of a top-notch cardiolgy care
team.
"Working in cardiology requires critical
thinking, compassion, and a lot of energy, and that's why I love
it. It can be exhausting emotionally, but there are also
times when we see 'miracle patients' pull out. It is a
rewarding feeling and you know we really did something
important."

Lori Woods, LPN
Long-Term Care
Lori Woods, LPN, grew up in Baltimore where her mom was a home
health nurse. After her
mother left home health nursing, she began to care for senior adults in
their home, and Lori developed a heartfelt desire to care for senior
adults.
“I can honestly say that I love my job,” says Lori.
“As Care Plan Coordinator, I work with families to help our
residents progress and to enjoy their lives as fully as possible.
“My hours are flexible which allows me to continue my
education. I’m working to become a registered nurse and that means I
occasionally need time during my workday to take tests.
My job gives me that flexibility and allows me to better myself
which means better care for my patients.”
