You have your goals in sight. The Nurse Extern Program at Northeast Georgia Medical Center and Health System, Inc. can help you reach your goals by facilitating your transition as a Student Nurse in the classroom to a Graduate Nurse in a premier working environment. Our program offers RN students the opportunity to experience formalized on-the-job training in a challenging learning environment under the direct supervision of an RN Preceptor. Not only will you be compensated while you are in this program, but you will be encouraged to participate in many learning opportunities that will enhance your professional development.

The Nurse Extern Program is sponsored in part by Foothills AHEC. To be eligible for application, interested students must be enrolled in good standing with an accredited RN program and have completed one year of Nursing school.

Applicants must complete and provide the following items to the Nurse Recruiter by February 29, 2008:

*NGHS, Inc. application for employment

*An official copy of most current academic transcript please mail to Attention Nurse Recruiter, 743 Spring Street, Gainesville, GA 30501

*Two letters of recommendation from current Nursing faculty

*Current BLS Healthcare Provider Card
