Inpatient Rehabilitation Program Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) with Stroke Specialty Program Certification
The Rehabilitation Institute of Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) received notification from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) that it has been accredited for a period of three years for its comprehensive integrated inpatient rehabilitation program. This is the sixth consecutive three-year accreditation the inpatient rehabilitation program has received from CARF, an international accrediting commission. Also this year, The Rehab Institute received a specialty certification for stroke care. This is the first year CARF has awarded Stroke Specialty Program accreditation, and NGMC is one of the first hospitals in the Southeast to receive this new accreditation.
