Echocardiography Accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories (ICAEL)
NGMC’s Echocardiography Lab is accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Laboratories (ICAEL). The accreditation process is rigorous and voluntary. Accreditation status signifies that the facility has been reviewed by an independent agency which recognizes the laboratory’s commitment to quality testing for the diagnosis of heart disease. Accredited labs are recognized by ICAEL for their commitment to high quality patient care and provision of quality diagnostic testing.
Cardiac Rehabilitation Accredited by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabiliation (AACVPR)
Northeast Georgia Medical Center (NGMC) has been awarded program certification for its Cardiac Rehabilitation program by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR). Certification recognizes those programs rigorously reviewed by a national board and found to meet the outlined essential requirements for standards of care.
Vascular Lab Accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL)
NGMC’s Vascular Lab is accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL). Approval by ICAVL is given only to those facilities that have voluntarily committed to provide the best in diagnosis and treatment of vascular disease and to undergo a rigorous evaluation process and review of performance. During the accreditation process, every aspect of the laboratory’s daily operations and its impact on quality of health care provided to patients is assessed and reviewed.
