Other Services
Besides access to the hospice team, Hospice of NGMC patients also receive without extra charges:
* Medical equipment such as hospital bed, wheelchair and oxygen
Medications (related to the terminal illness)
* Respite Care – to assist caregivers and allow them a time to rest, Hospice patients may be admitted to one of our contracted hospitals for up to five days (contracted hospitals are Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Habersham County Hospital and Stephens County Hospital)
* Visits to your primary physician, as needed
* Medical supplies such as dressings, ostomy appliances, undergarment briefs (related to the terminal illness)
* Storykeeping – a special life review process
* Bereavement care (see below)
