Northeast Georgia Medical Center is one of the top 100 hospitals in the nation, according to a study by Thomson Reuters. NGMC also received the 100 Top Hospitals®: Everest Award, which was awarded to only 23 hospitals demonstrating top performance and accelerated improvement according to the study. The Joint Commission

NGMC is accredited by The Joint Commission, demonstrating compliance with Joint Commission's national standards for healthcare quality and safety. The accreditation includes the Medical Center's main campus; Laurelwood, the mental health and substance abuse treatment facility of NGMC; and Hospice of NGMC.
